TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - After months of shootings continue to plague the Capital City, including one this weekend that put a victim in the hospital, another community meeting is planned to help come up with possible solutions.
People say they're furious, fearful, and fed up with crime in the Capital City.
Monday night's community meeting is meant to address just that: it's called "Real Solutions for Confronting Crime."
Lots of powerful city leaders and law enforcement officials are on the agenda to speak and at meetings like this in the past, the message has been that, behind the scenes, the city is doing everything they can. They say police are making arrests and plans are in the works for more community programs.
They say, for true change, it comes down to neighbors watching out for each other and witnesses coming forward with information to help solve crimes.
The town hall meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Bethel Family Life Center on North Bronough Street.
At 11, we'll show you what the community thinks about what's being done and what's lacking, in the fight against crime.
