GADSDEN CO. (WTXL) - The Gadsden County community is hoping to bring growth to the county's economy.

A pair of Harvard economists released a study showing Gadsden county as one of the worst places to live in the country, for those trying to change their economic situation. Tuesday afternoon, community leaders gathered to discuss the economic development of the county.

Gadsden County's Public/ Private Partnership for Economic Development, Opportunity Florida, and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity joined together to host a forum.

Panel members discussed industrial development, infrastructure, workforce, business retention, and community development. Organizers say this is the first step in bringing more money and jobs to the area.

Community leaders felt the forum was valuable, and plan on holding more in the future.
