Community Lays Wreaths to Thank Military for Their Service

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Community members are laying wreaths this Christmas, all to thank military personnel and their families as an extension of the Arlington National Cemetery's Wreaths Across America.

The ceremony took place at noon on Monday.

Leon County School's student ROTC cadets, placed the wreaths at the R.A. Gray building.

The Chiles High School choir also performed two songs, followed by a 21 gun salute.

The Arlington Wreath Program was started back in 1992, and has seen ceremonies held at over 300 locations nationwide.

This is the eighth year for the Capital Wreath Program event in the Capital City.
