TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Thursday night the Tallahassee community has a chance to remember one of it's own and the impact he still has on so many.
A community celebration to honor the life and legacy of Florida High graduate Cam Brown is being held at Bethel AME Church.
Cam, or Super Cam as his family and friends refer to him, bravely fought cancer, until he passed away early Saturday morning. Cam was diagnosed with osteocarcoma in may of this year and fought it every step of the way with a smile.
Thursday night Cam's family asked those who knew him to wear their Super Cam colors and to offer up a photo or story at the celebration. And one of those speaking will be WTXL sports director Alison Posey.
Alison grew close to Cam and the Brown family over the years as she told his story. The WTXL family is honored to be a part of the celebration.
On Saturday, a viewing is set from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. at the Richardson Funeral Home on South Adams Street. And finally, funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Moon.
Cam's father says all are welcome on each of those days.
