TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The community gathered in downtown Tallahassee on Sunday night for The Longest Table.
The event brings people together to eat, discuss community issues and build relationships.
This years's Longest Table was on Duval Street.
Mayor Andrew Gillum spearheaded the event, and he says that the most important part is the discussions.
The Longest Table project has won an award, and cities across America have taken notice of the Tallahassee tradition and are starting community conversations of their own.
