TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - After deciding to run for Tallahassee City Commission seat 5 on Friday, Dianne Williams-Cox has made it Facebook official.

Williams-Cox posted a statement Tuesday night on her Facebook page saying:

"As a community advocate I have decided that it is time to represent my community at the local level so I have decided to seek a position on the city commission. I have filed to run for seat 5 and look forward to representing my neighbors citywide."

Gil Ziffer, the city commissioner for seat 5, is running for Tallahassee mayor in 2018.

Thus, there's a vacancy and no incumbent opponent in the race.
