Columbus Chick-fil-A warns against eating Tide Pods

Posted

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A local Chick-fil-A is using their sign to grab the attention of customers in a clever way.

The Chick-fil-A on Manchester Expy., who last week used their sign to show support for Parkland, FL, has unveiled a sign displaying the message “Don’t Eat Tide Pods, Eat Mor Chikin!”

The sign is referencing the internet challenge floating around social media where teenagers put a Tide Pod in their mouth and pop it.

"We are just doing our part to help the young people of our community think about the decisions they can make. There are wise decisions and foolish decisions," said Alex Vann, Operator of the Chick-fil-A location on Manchester Expy. "Our purpose in my restaurants is 'to refresh the lives of those in our community.' I'd much rather refresh their lives in our restaurants than in the hospitals."

The “Tide Pod Challenge” has come under much scrutiny, but it seems that Chick-fil-A has found a way to spin it in their favor
