TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - With college students trickling back into the Capital City, there's more activity in a lot of local shops.
One of those, the Garnet and Gold store.
General Manager, Mason Kaye, says each year sales start booming when students return from summer break.
On Aug. 1, he immediately starts seeing more foot traffic around town and in his stores.
"I go from employing maybe 10 to 15 in the summer, and that's on the high end. And I easily double that in the fall," said Kaye. "In the past two weeks I've probably hired a dozen just getting ready for those first two football games."
Kaye says this summer has been more active than past years.
