POPE COUNTY, AR (WTXL) -- A 21-year-old man from Quincy has died in Arkansas, after deputies there say he drowned in a public pool.
Zemaric Holt, a student and football player at Arkansas Tech University died Sunday as a result of injuries suffered in an accident in at a recreation center in Pope County, Arkansas.
Upon arrival, first responders say Holt was already out of the water, and they brought him to the hospital where he died.
Holt was a defensive lineman and psychology student at the university.
According to Holt's mother, his funeral will be at his old school, East Gadsden High.
