TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Temporary cold shelters will be open tonight and tomorrow night in Tallahassee, with temperatures possibly dropping below 35 degrees for three or more hours tonight.
The Kearney Center and the Family Emergency Shelter of the Big Bend Homeless Coalition will be taking in adults and families with children for the night, and will also be offering a warm meal.
Adults should report to the Kearney Center where dinner will be from 7 to 8, and sleeping accommodations will be assigned at 8.
Families with minor children should go to the family emergency center, where dinner will be held from 5 to 6, and sleeping accommodations will be assigned at 7.
Shelters are also opening in Valdosta, including at the LAMP shelter on Charlton, the Salvation Army, and the Grace Seventh Day Adventist Church on West Hill.
