Coca-Cola announced plans Tuesday to cut jobs.

In its earnings report, Coke said overall sales were down 11-percent from a year ago and profits fell 20-percent.

The company will cut 1200 jobs to try and get back on track.

The layoffs will begin in the second half of this year.

Coke says it's part of a broader cost cutting plan aimed at saving the company $800-million.
