TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man of accused of crashing into a car with three FSU students inside in 2015 will go to trial Wednesday at the Leon County Courthouse.
Stanley Jaboin's attorney, Chuck Collins, confirmed that the jury wrapped up closing arguments Thursday afternoon and are waiting on verdict now.
He also says a motion filed by the state Wednesday to prevent Jaboin's attorney from bringing up Nikolas Bonilla's DUI charge in the accident has been granted.
The state says the charge is not crucial to the case and would only make the jury feel sympathetic towards Jaboin.
On Sept. 6, 2015, Tallahassee Police responded to the fatal crash on West Pensacola Street and White Drive.
Police say Jaboin, 27, was driving 96 miles per hour just seconds before hitting the passenger side of Bonilla's PT Cruiser.
Kevin Boos, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene while Vincenzo Libio, 22, and Morgan Carr, 21, died at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
Jury selection was completed Monday.
