LEON Co., FL (#WTXLDigital) - The Leon County Humane Society has enlisted the assistance of several tech savvy felines to help ask for supplies for the organization.

All week, scans of cats sitting on top of a copier have been showing up on the organization's Facebook page.

Rachel Williams, the Communications Designer for LCHS explains that they decided to post the photos in hopes of getting a few more donations as they reach the end of their "Summer of Savings" campaign.

"Summer of Savings" is an annual event the Humane Society puts on to help save money through the end of the year, explains Williams. According to the LCHS website, the money saved by not having to purchase these supplies will be used to pay for the medical costs of foster animals.

While every supply being asked for is needed, Williams says that the paper and copier ink requested in the posts are important supplies for LCHS. The group goes through a large amount of paper and ink each year to let the community know about the animals they have available for adoption.

And considering the "Summer of Saving" supply list says the organization still needs approximately 40 reams of paper and has yet to see any ink donations, that need is considerable.

So far there have been four cats featured in the Facebook campaign; Riley, Roo, Bella and Tux.

A fifth cat named Lucky decided he wanted to get in on the fun and hopped on the copier too, allowing staff to capture an extra photo of him sitting on the buttons.

Riley and Roo were actually adopted this week but Bella, Tux, and Lucky are still looking for permanent homes, says Williams.

A final photo of a furry friend will be posted on Friday. You can see it as well as read the fun stories that go along with each photo by visiting the Leon County Humane Society's Facebook page.
