VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Valdosta Police were able to locate a suspect on Monday thanks to footage from the City-Wide Camera System.
Officers say they received a call that a vehicle had been broken into on West Savannah Avenue.
The suspect, later identified as Christopher Davis, was still inside when the victim went to his car but fled as he approached, according to police.
Footage from a downtown camera was reviewed and officers were able to get a description of Davis from the video.
Police say they later located Davis and he was identified as the thief by the victim. They were also able to recover the items stolen from the car.
Davis is facing felonies for theft by entering auto and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
