TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - 2018 has been called the "Year of the Woman" when it comes to Tallahassee sports.

The Florida State University softball team and the Tallahassee Community College women's basketball team have brought home national championships so far.

On Wednesday, the Florida State women's soccer team was the latest team to be recognized by the city for winning it all.

The ladies are fresh off their national title win against North Carolina. The team won it all back in 2014 and have done it again.

Mayor John Dailey and the rest of the commission congratulated the Lady Noles for representing Tallahassee well.

Senior Olivia Bergau said life after the title means a lot to everyone on the team.

"Honestly, it's an honor representing Florida State athletics during such an important year, especially for the seniors, making it to the College Cup the first year and then having devastating losses early in the two seasons following that," said Bergau. "It honestly means the world to us to bring it home and just make our community proud."

In addition to plenty of photos, the crowd welcomed them with the FSU war chant.

The team said it shares the same complex with the softball team, and it's great that both teams are national champs this year.
