VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--If you are in Valdosta, you may see smoke coming up from the sewer system.

The city started smoke testing its sewer systems and hopes to finish the test by Friday. The smoke tests are done to help the city identify and eliminate sources of stormwater inflow and blockages. City leaders say the white and gray smoke used in the test is non-toxic, non-staining, and odorless.

Over the next four years, the city hopes to test its entire sewer system. This is phase two of the testing. It includes the area of the Valdosta Mall and a portion of Remerton.
