TIFTON, Ga. (WTXL) - The City of Tifton is reimbursing some utility customers, after they where charged a fee to pay their bill.
Utility customers in Tifton where charged a 95-cent fee while making payments online.
The city noticed the fees about a month ago, and it's not the city, but the processing company that's charging the customers.
One Tifton resident says, its the fee to pay with a card in person that surprises him. The city's financial director says, the problem has been taken care of.
The financial director says, as of Tuesday customers will no longer be charged a fee to pay their bill online.
Customers will, however, be charged $2.95 for paying with a card in person.
