City of Thomasville prepares for Independence Day fireworks show

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - Three hundred firework shells will light up the night in Thomasville, Wednesday for the Fourth of July.

The event will be held at the downtown amphitheater where there will be live music, games, and free food.

"What we want is to get everyone in Thomasville, and come out and enjoy this community event with their friends, and neighbors," said Dustin Infinger, the marketing manager of the City of Thomasville.

The Marketing Manager for the City of Thomasville says the streets surrounding the amphitheater will be blocked off starting at 5 p.m. tomorrow.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m., and the fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
