TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The city of Tallahassee is offering free trees to homeowner within the city limits to keep the city's canopy of trees intact.

Residents can apply to receive one or two trees through the city's Adopt-A-Tree program.

Tree planting will begin in mid-January.
