TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - If you were surprised by a high heating bill in January, relief might be available for you.

The City of Tallahassee offers a Winter Relief Assistance Program called WRAP.

It's a one-time option to extend your payment to future months to help with the high energy use during the winter.

You can carry over 25 percent of your bill to the next month's bill when you'll probably use less energy. It applies to your January and February utility bills.

One great thing about the Winter Relief Assistance Program, is that anyone can apply for it, within January or February bill reporting cycles and refer twenty five percent of their costs," said James Barnes, Chief Customer Officer for the City of Tallahassee. "And that way they should not see any major increases due to an increase of weather or utility uses."
