TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL)-- City of Tallahassee leaders will vote on whether to appoint a new city manager on Tuesday.
This comes after the current city manager, Anita Favors-Thompson, is stepping down following nearly 2 decades in the job.
Rick Fernandez is the City Manager in waiting following Anita Favors-Thompson's decision to retire.
He is the currently Assistant City Manager over utilities.
Tuesday, commissioners will vote to either appoint Fernandez as the new City Manager or to begin the search process for the position.
