City of Quincy Electric making progress to restore power to Quincy residents

Posted

QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - The City of Quincy Electric is slowly making progress to restore power to residents in Quincy.

In a Facebook post, the City Of Quincy Electric said they made good progress Wednesday with power restoration, despite the issue with the transmission service into the city and they are now up to 39 percent restored in Quincy.

They said it will never be fast enough for those still without power, but they'll continue to work as hard as they can until everyone is back on.

City of Quincy Electric stated for people still waiting for power to check their weatherhead and/or meter can and make sure there is not any damage. If there is damage, they said you will need to hire a licensed electrician to make repairs before they are able to re-energize your home.

City of Quincy Electric will waive the inspection requirement and the inspection fee, but your electrician will need to call 850-618-0040 to confirm that the work has been done.
