MOULTRIE, Ga. (WTXL) - Moultrie city leaders are also working on a multi- million dollar streetscape project to revamp the downtown streets.
Phase one of the project is the building of the first-ever pocket park.
The park is funded by both private and public funds.
City leaders say they're also increasing the number of plants on the street by 40 percent and they're adding more red and grey pavers to more downtown sidewalks.
The project, which started six months ago, has even gotten support from the state.
Moultrie city leaders expect to have the park ready in the next three months. But the entire project will take at least three years.
