TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The city commission received an update from the Tallahassee Police Department regarding public safety.
City commissioner Scott Maddox says, "We are asking for monthly updates because the crime problem has gotten out of control in the city of Tallahassee. We have seen an uptick in violent crime just this year. We saw property crimes go down recently, but we want an all out effort to stop this from growing anymore."
The updates are a result of TPD's summer public safety report last month.
