TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Residents of Tallahassee now have the option to pay their utilities without having to wait in long lines.
New "E-Kiosks" have been launched to help citizens navigate the billing system faster. Before, residents could not use their credit or debit cards to pay their bills in person. Now, they can find a kiosk, scan the barcode on their bill or type in the billing information and they're able to make a payment.
The kiosks are located all throughout the capitol city including on FAMU's and TCC's campuses. City officials said the kiosks are intended to eliminate the hassle for student who don't want to leave campus to pay their bills.
The machines also act as an ATM and they also carry change. The "E-Plus Kiosks" have come about 2 months after the city launched its mobile app, "E-Plus Mobile."
