TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- City and county leaders are already responding to Tuesday's severe storms and Wednesday's continued threat of rain.

Several locations were opened overnight so residents can come to pick up sand and sandbags.

At Leon County locations, there's a 20 bag limit, and a 25 bag limit at city sites. Everyone is asked to bring their own shovel, and be prepared to fill bags themselves.

In Leon County, the pick-up spots are at Tekesta Park at Tekesta Drive and Deer Lake Road; Apalachee Regional Park on Apalachee Parkway; J. Lee Vause Park on Old Bainbridge Road; and  the southside location of Rachero Road and Oak Ridge Road.

If you're in city limits, head to the parking lot of the Messer Field South Softball Complex on the south side of Jackson Bluff Road between Appleyard Drive and Dupree Street, or the parking lot on the east side of Winthrop Park off Mitchell Avenue.
