TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee City Commissioners will vote on applying for a statewide grant that would allow the Orange Avenue Apartments to be relocated just outside of the designated flood zones.
The $2 million grant would come from funds the federal government gave to the state of Florida to aid communities ravaged by Hurricane's Hermine and Matthew.
The city has been working with the Tallahassee Public Housing Authority and Columbia Residential on a plan to re-develop Orange Avenue Pubic Housing.
The City Commission Meeting started at 4 p.m. Wednesday. We'll update you when a decision is made.
