TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Tallahassee commissioners approve the development plan for the Centre of Tallahassee, formerly known as the Tallahassee Mall.
This agreement addresses sound ordinances, property and environmental uses, as well as Star Metro use at the property. In addition to an amphitheater and new retail, the development plan also includes a possible hotel, multi-family housing, offices, and schools.
Developers addressed the environmental impact of the project, by agreeing to dedicate a part of the property to the city to serve as a segment for the Lake Jackson South Greenway Project and to bring in Star Metro services.
Developers and commissioners agreed on sound controls for the amphitheater.
The agreement will to go the Development Review Committee, where a decision will be made on the request to expand the amphitheater to hold 10,000 people.
That meeting is on November 9th.
