TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Christmas came early Sunday night, December 9th for Tallahassee's City Church.
The congregation hosted its 5th annual Christmas on the Moon event, held at the Capital City night club, The Moon, perhaps not your typical venue for a church service.
"For me personally," says City Church Lead Pastor Dean Inserra, "I think it's the very place Jesus would have gone. When I see Jesus, who we follow as Christians and what we celebrate on Christmas is the birth of Christ, I see him as someone who wanted to be around people who were at night clubs and those types of places if he was in a modern context today."
"We're trying to reach people no one else is reaching," Inserra adds, "so to do that, we're going to do things no one else is doing, and part of that's coming here."
The Church says 1,550 people attended this year's Christmas on The Moon.
