TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It turned out to be a very merry Christmas Eve for those in need in Frenchtown.

The Less Fortunate Still Matters Foundation and Rockhead Synergy Incorporated hosted their 5th Annual Christmas Dinner Toys Giveaway Monday at the Carter Howell Strong Park from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

There were toy giveaways, bikes raffled, clothes, shoes, and personal hygiene items. All free thanks to generous donations from local businesses.

The gifts helped brighten up the holiday season, that for many down on their luck can be a difficult time.

Organizers said this annual event makes a great impact on the community.

"The impact that this has given to the community is hope, letting the people know that we care and that we want to be involved and making sure everyone is having a good time and a good Christmas," said Timothy Mosley, Founder of The Less Fortunate Still Matters Foundation.

Event organizers from the Less Fortunate Still Matters Foundation along with several of their business partners were there on Monday. The tents and tables were covered with food and essentials.

Walmart donated bikes and clothes and there was catering by Bojangles Chicken and Krispy Kreme.

A great time was had by all and Mosley summed it up best when he said, "It's not only on Christmas, but everyday that everybody matters."
