LEON Co., FL (WTXL) - A Chiles High School Coach has been placed on administrative leave due to a complaint that he hit a student, according to Leon County Schools.

Chiles High School Principal, Joe Burgess, said the complaint was reported Monday claiming that Coach Scott Gowan hit a student.

Burgess said students reported the incident.

Gowan was put on paid administrative leave on Tuesday pending an investigation, said Burgess.

This is the second time Gowan has been placed on leave for a complaint.

In August of 2015, he was on leave after reports that a student complained that he was bullying and stalking her.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Gowan was cleared by the district after an investigation into the original complaint.

This is a developing story. Continue checking WTXL.tv for more details.
