TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Next month, Chiles High School Chorus will be making its debut at one of the most prestigious venues in the world for music.

Chiles High School Chorus will be led by its former Director, Tucker Biddlecombe, as part of MidAmerica Productions’ 36th annual concert season.

Another former Chiles High School Chorus Director, Mary Biddlecombe, will also be represented by her current ensemble, the Blair Children’s Chorus Young Men’s Chorus of Nashville, Tennessee.

They along with four other ensembles from all over the nation will perform Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna

“We are thrilled to have been extended the opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall, hallowed ground among concert spaces. This event is very special for us as a choir, too, as it represents an opportunity for the students of Chiles High School to perform with a former director at that school, Tucker Biddlecombe," said current director of the Chiles High School Chorus Corey Sullivan. "He was my high school choral director, too."

The concert is set at Carnegie Hall for Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m.

The chorus program at Lawton Chiles High School encompasses more than 200 students enrolled in five curricular choirs, ranging from beginning treble and TTBB ensembles all the way to an advanced chamber ensemble.
