TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- It's National Child Passenger Safety week! Tallahassee Police Department is partnering with Children's Safe Kids Worldwide to promote awareness about car safety tips for parents.
Officers stress the importance of making sure your child is in the proper car seat for his or her age. You can stop by the Police Department and have a specialist check that you have the right seat and that it is installed correctly.
Officer Dave Northway states, "What we have to have is the awareness for people to understand that children need to be in specific safety seats at a specific age and there are different seats for different ages."
Stop by tomorrow between ten and noon to make sure your children are riding safely as passengers in your car. You can also make an appointment out of that time slot.
