TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A 5-year-old child was hit by a car while waiting to get on a Leon County School bus Wednesday morning.
The crash happened Wednesday morning near the intersection of Tuscan Hill Drive and Ox Bottom Road.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the victim was waiting to board the bus when he was hit by a car. They say he suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Chris Petley, a spokesperson for Leon County Schools, confirmed that a 5-year-old boy was involved in the incident. They confirmed the boy is a student at Hawk's Rise Elementary School.
Due to an open investigation, LCSO was unable to confirm any details on the driver who hit the child.
