CHICAGO (AP) — Police say a 17-year-old boy has also been charged in connection with the shooting death of a 14-year-old Chicago girl who was in a dispute with another girl over a boy.
A 14-year-old girl faces a murder charge as a juvenile in Monday's fatal shooting of Endia Martin.
Chicago police said Tuesday night that the 17-year-old now charged is accused of hiding the gun used to fatally wound Endia. The teen faces a charge of felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of felony unlawful use of a weapon, and misdemeanor reckless damage.
He's charged as a juvenile.
Prosecutors allege the 14-year-old girl charged went to a residence in the city's Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side to continue a fight that began on Facebook.
