CHATTAHOOCHEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Monday night a workshop was held for the new city of Chattahoochee council members, voted into office almost two weeks ago.
The main focus of the workshop was to discuss options for the future of the city manager postion.
Current city manager Lee Garner says he will not resign from the position, but if voted out of office he says he will help in the transition.
"If the council don't want me here, we'll negoitate a settlement package," Garner says. "I'm still going to live in Chattahoochee because Chattahoochee is home for me, but I'll be glad to help whoever comes in and takes my place if that their desire, to help them with anything I can."
This comes just a week after the city attorney resigned, and the chief of police announced he will retire in the coming months.
