CHATTAHOOCHEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Chattahoochee City Council formally accept the city attorney's resignation Wednesday.
J. David House submitted his resignation on July 5th, and it was effective immediately.
Now council members are looking to fill the position.
"There is several criteria that they have to be evaluated on," City Manager Elmon Garner said. "Once they decide that, they'll rank them. We may get one application, we may get fifteen. I don't know, but we'll go through the process."
The deadline to apply is August 7.
If they spot isn't filled by the deadline, they have an attorney on standby to be a temporary fill in until the position is filled.
