NASHVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A boat manufacturing company is planning to expand its facility in south Georgia and is looking to create 50 new jobs in the process.

Gov. Nathan Deal's office announced Tuesday that Chaparral Boats is expanding its facility in Berrien County.

Officials say the company employs about 600 Georgians and is Berrien County's largest employer.

Deal says, the company also bolsters a roughly $155 million economic impact by using the Georgia Ports Authority to ship goods to their international dealer network.
