TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- January 24 is the first day of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce's Chamber Mob, a program designed to provide a way for people to join together and support small businesses.
The Chamber Mob is a spin off a Chamber Mob is a spin off of Cash Mobs that have gained great momentum across the nation over the past year. The premise of the Mob is to gather a group of people to visit a local business guaranteeing to spend a minimum of $15. Chamber officials say that this should create an immediate economic stimulus, and that it will help local businesses create new customers and achieve financial success.
The inaugural Chamber Mob is scheduled to take place from 4-6 p.m. at Garnet and Gold in Tallahassee. The event will be at the store located at 1400 Village Square Boulevard. Garnet and Gold is a store that specializes in Florida State University apparel and accessories for fans, alumni, and students.
