TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- The Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce launched a new initiative Thursday to showcase how the area is growing and keeping business.
The Chamber announced the GrowTLH initiative, with events every other month to celebrate a stronger economy.
The kickoff event was held at Bannerman Crossings, where businesses have started setting up since last year.
Several business owners at the town center shared their thoughts on the area's growth, and the site's developers Summit Group said there's more to come -- including housing, office and additional retail.
Chamber president Sue Dick says the area continues to attract companies to invest locally.
"Tallahassee is such a unique community, and we are very vibrant in economic development," she said. "We're creating jobs in all industry sectors, but it's about having a community where people want to live and where people want to start their businesses. Today's announcement really is showcasing a new development that is doing just that -- and is really creating a sense of place.">
The Chamber says the next GrowTLH event will be some time in March at a location to be announced.
