TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- A special event is celebrating its sixth year of giving back to community groups.
Next month marks the 6th annual Celebration of Women and Girls.
Organizers describe it as a fun-filled evening showcasing female performers. Live acts this year include music, dance and even magic.
There's also a reception, and the popular candy bar is back, plus a silent auction.
Proceeds from the event support the Oasis Center for Women and Girls and PACE Center for Girls.
The Celebration of Women and Girls is Friday, February 19. The reception begins at 5 p.m. and performances starts at 6 p.m. Everything is at The Moon (1105 E. Lafayette Street).
The event's emcees are Tallahassee's First Lady R. Jai Gillum and Audra Price Pittman, COCA.
Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door.
