VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Grab your popcorn and lawn chairs: Valdosta-Lowndes Park and Recreation is holding its 3rd annual Movies in the Park this weekend.
This Saturday they'll be showing Facing the Giants at Drexel Park at 7:30 p.m.
It's the first of many movie nights scheduled for the fall season.
The other movies coming up this fall and winter are Moana (rated PG) on November 10th at Freedom Park, The Santa Clause rated PG on December 19th at Drexel Park, The Grinch rated PG on December 21st at J.W. Saunders Park, and Beauty and the Beast rated PG on February 23rd at Drexel Park.
Program coordinator Rachel Salyards says the movie nights are a great way to get families out to enjoy the beautiful parks throughout Valdosta.
"It's nice to be able to bring some of these movies back, bring some classics back and make it a big family event in the parks and get people out into the parks and enjoy the different settings," Salyards explained.
All movie nights are free to the public.
