TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Counting down to 2019, people have plenty of festivities in which they can participate.
WTXL ABC 27's Jada Williams was live with the New Year's Eve celebration happening at Cascades Park.
Cascade's Park will be packed Monday night with people waiting to say goodbye to 2018 and hello to a new year with the annual New Year's Eve Fireworks display.
Tallahassee Downtown's family friendly event with an early start time so that kids and adults can enjoy the show.
It starts at 7 p.m. at the Boca Chuba Pond at the southwest end of the park.
You'll want to be on time because the show is only 30 minutes long.
The Edison Restaurant, one of the sponsors, will continue the festivities with music and food after the fireworks display if the weather permits.
Rainy weather has cancelled other events in the capital city this year, like Springtime Tallahassee and the Tallahassee Winter Festival.
So let's all hope that, in the spirit of the new year, we can leave the rained out events in the past.
