WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL)--A fugitive wanted for a carjacking in Riviera Beach is captured in the Big Bend.
Wakulla County deputies say Walter Snell III, of West Palm Beach, was hiding in a vehicle on U.S. Highway 98, near the Jefferson County line on Saturday.
Wakulla County dispatch received a call from a resident about a vehicle abandoned in the westbound lane around five a.m.
When law enforcement got there, the Chevy Sonic was locked. Deputies heard the vehicle remote lock go off, and noticed some condensation on the window near the trunk of the car.
Deputies broke the window, pulled down the backseat, and found Snell.
The 22-year old man was arrested for grand theft of an automobile, and also for having marijuana.
He was taken to the Wakulla County Jail where he will face additional charges from the Riviera Beach Police Department.
