TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- A 20-year-old has been arrested for DUI after his SUV hit another car, before slamming into the Mellow Mushroom.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Tallahassee Police say John Penrod was on Pensacola Street, near Chapel Drive.
According to officers, Penrod hit a car that was stopped in the turn lane. His SUV kept going before crashing into the restaurant wall.
No one was injured, but the building was seriously damaged.
Owner Chris Dodge tells us this is the second time a car has hit the Mellow Mushroom.
"These kids need to slow down," said Dodge. "There's an appendage that went through one side and came out the other but we're going to be open as usual. We'll just have to close the porch and the inside bar."
Penrod was arrested for DUI and several other charges.
