CHATSWORTH, Ga. (AP) -- Police in northwestern Georgia say a car accident has killed two children and left their mother and two other people injured.
The Dalton Daily Citizen reports a GMC Envoy failed to stop at a stop sign in Murray County and ran into a tractor trailer. Police say the car spun after impact and hit the rear of the truck.
Police say 6-year-old Zach Greene and 12-year-old Madison Greene, both of Summerville, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their mother, 39-year-old Susan Renee Greene and a 13-year-old relative, Dylan Webb, of Euharlee, were taken to the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton. The truck driver, 41-year-old Bobby Gene Douglas, was also hospitalized.
