TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Calling all nurses, Capital Regional Medical Center is hosting a new graduate nurse bash.

Things kick off at 6 p.m. at Capital Regional Medical Center. Recent and upcoming nursing graduates can come out to celebrate their graduation and make the next steps to embarking on their careers.

The grad bash gives soon to be nurses the opportunity to network, find jobs and unit placement, and of course celebrate their accomplishments.

One of the big pushes of the bash is finding new candidates for their apprenticeship Star RN where the students spend 13 weeks getting hands on training before becoming an RN.

Lori Sumner with Capital Regional Medicals says that through the grad bash and star RN they're staffing their hospital with bright new nurses.

Sumner also said that aside from efforts at the grad bash they work to build a relationship with current students and help them land jobs even before graduation.

Later on, you'll hear from grad bash and Star- RN graduates are working right at Capital Regional now.
