TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition is prepping its annual walk in observance of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

Thursday's Walk to Remember is giving families the chance to honor their lost child, and they're getting to do it with other families in similar circumstances.

They're also provided with resources such as grief counselors to help them cope.

Everything will start with a reception at St. Paul's United Methodist on Thursday evening at 5:30.

There will be a memorial service, counselors available to talk and much more for the families.

At 7:30, there will be a candlelit walk around Lake Ella.

Last year about 3,000 Florida families suffered a pregnancy or infancy loss.

Forty-five of those families are in the Big Bend area.
