THOMASVILLE, GA (WTXL) - Troopers have identified the person who died in a fatal Thomas County crash on Thursday.
Shauntrice Jones of Camilla was driving a Toyota Camry near Stage Road when the accident occurred, reports say. Lennoris Jackson of Thomasville was also on the same road driving a Ford Pickup Truck with a trailer and two commercial lawn mowers.
Around 2:30 p.m., Jackson's front driver side tire blew out.The 28-year-old then traveled off the side of the roadway, across the median, and into the northbound lane where it hit Jones head on, says troopers.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers. Jackson was taken to Archbold Medical Center with unknown injuries.
