BLOUNTSTOWN, FL (WTXL)--Calhoun Liberty Hospital administrators spent the weekend working on a corrective action plan after their first attempt was rejected by the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration last week.
The agency for health care administration said the hospital did not provide specific details on staff training in emergency room care and oversight in addressing patient complaints.
They have to submit a new plan this week. The hospital was cited for 10 deficiencies earlier this month by the Agency for Healthcare Administration.
This comes after the December 21st death of 57 year old Barbara Dawson, who died after being forcibly removed from the emergency room.
The hospital also must pay a 45-thousand dollar fine.
They need to have plans in place by March first, or they will be suspended from Florida's Medicaid program.
